Ty Hinson is the National office manager for Black and Pink. Ty originally became involved with Black and Pink through the court support efforts in Boston. Over the years Ty has taken on responsibilities as a workshop facilitator and now as the office manger for the national office. As the office manager, Ty is responsible for keeping track of prisoner mail, responding to requests for addresses, and keeping things running in the office. Monica James is the National Organizer for Black and Pink. Monica comes to Black and Pink after years of organizing with the Transformative Justice Law Project in Chicago. Monica has dedicated her life to trans equality and she has been recognized as a national and international activist. As the National Organizer, Monica is responsible for supporting prison-based and outside chapters of Black and Pink, ensuring the efforts of our national working groups are successful, and moving forward our organizational campaigns in the movement for abolition. Jason Lydon headshot

Jason Lydon is the founder and National Director of Black and Pink. Jason founded Black and Pink in 2005 after his own incarceration. He has been the full time National Director since 2012 and will be stepping down from the position in September 2017. Jason is responsible for overseeing all the projects of Black and Pink, leading the national campaigns, speaking publicly for the organization, and ensuring financial strength and sustainability for the organization.
