PROVIDENCE

Mission
Black & Pink Providence is a group of diverse LGBTQ+ community members with a collective mission to fill in the gaps of support for currently and formerly incarcerated LGBTQ+ people and people living with HIV in Rhode Island. We accomplish this by building connections with incarcerated members, community networking, legislative advocacy, and providing referrals to wrap-around re-entry services.

History
The Providence Chapter of Black & Pink formed in 2015. From the start, the chapter has worked towards prison abolition through pen pal matching, mail processing, and providing political education through workshops.

Meetings
